Jhbuild failed for me because it could not clone from the repo
configured in gnome-shell.modules:

Looks like the collabora repo is now decommissioned?
Anyway, as a temporary work-around I downloaded and reconfigured
gnome-shell.modules with the freedesktop repo and build successfully
with that.
