Obviously hiding the panel should be optional. I has been discussed many times, many users just want to have the option, if I have a small screen, I guess I should be capable of optimize my DE to my needs.
I dont like Unity, but it is using screen space with more efficiency than Gnome3, thats a fact. Just look our gnome-shell panel (or bar), what it does? It gives me a button-indicator to bring the Activities, it shows me the Time, an the obvious System tray-Notifications; well, Do I need that things ALL the time in my screen? I dont think so... ________________________________ From: Adam Williamson <[email protected]> To: Mystilleef <[email protected]> Cc: gnome-shell-list <[email protected]> Sent: Thu, April 14, 2011 12:56:48 PM Subject: Re: Autohide Top Bar?
