In order to bypass the extensions version validation, you just need to
set the Shell gsetting "disable-extension-version-validation".

For that, open a terminal and run:
gsettings set org.gnome.shell disable-extension-version-validation true

OR graphically, you can use "dconf-editor" and find the
"disable-extension-version-validation" setting under / org / gnome /
shell.
