I'd be careful about recommending it. The site tries very hard to steer
people into their Software as a Service products, has deliberately
confusing stuff like "Free Trial" under the "Open Source" heading, and
tells people to "upgrade" to the proprietary or SaaS version.

I'm also unclear on whether the Community Edition still requires
interaction with their SaaS, or whether it really is all self-hosted.

Another good CRM to recommend is http://civicrm.org. It's licensed under
the AGPL. It's more for nonprofits and community organizations though,
less for businesses.

helpful information about other CRM systems -- many of which would be
useful for businesses as well. If you learn more, please update the page :).
