Once judge and defendant have pared down the applicable law to figure out the question of standing conclusively. That might mean moving the SFLC out of the process eventually. But it is sort of a race condition since that is pretty much the same time when the defendant gets a clue that he has nothing left to gain when not settling and coming into compliance. Many copyright owners will gladly agree to have the case settled against a payment to the SFLC or the FSF in the function of a designated charity. Most certainly the SFLC does not need to read the outpour of self-proclaimed legal amateurs in this newsgroup in order to plan their course of action.
