Hi,
In early non-barred music, it's helpful to turn off bar-lines
in the staves, but put them between the staves (through the
        lyrics, if any).

        Can I do this?

How can I add metronome markings?
        \tempo 4=60; doesn't seem to print anything.

How can I add (above a time-signature change) something to
indicate whether the crotchet remains the same
(\crotchet = \crotchet ) or the bar remains the same
        ( \semibreve = \dottedminim )

In early music, with the old time signatures, I'd expect this
automatically when moving from a perfect to an imperfect bar
or vice versa. But in a modern redaction, we have to tell the
        performer what it's to be.
