Yes, the "old" time signatures give the mensuration marks used 
up to the beginning of the 17:th century. For example in the
original print of Merula's pieces that I used as a source for 
Gallina. 

To get the layout we are most used to today, set the signature style
to "C" to get the modern C and crossed C for 4/4 and 2/4 respectively. 
All other time signatures will be written with numbers.
