Now that I see what you mean, yes. I was confusing your word slope
with what engineers use! If I understand you correctly, that bVP sets
the distance from the first notehead to the beam and bS sets the
distance up or down that the end of the beam is to be relative to the
start of the beam, they will work fine if they use the same units as
stemLength. Since stemLength will probably be set globally, I
withdraw my comment about its use for beam location.
I note though that you will need a bVP="auto" and bS="auto" to
restore to default conditions. In the cases I cited in my previous
notes (fHS, nHS & fS), default was a specific value.
