i must confess ignorance of the notation of string instrument
technique.  in the fourth measure of the cello part here:

, over the first and fifth notes, there's a triangle with a point
pointing down toward the notehead.  i just looked through

and picked what looked closest, "^|".  did i choose correctly? the
feta version is rounded on top, while that in the peters edition is
flat.  is this just a matter of style, or are they two different
marks?

and just out of curiosity, what does it mean?  :)
