Whew, this gets more and more confusing... did someone intend mudela to
be usable by the masses? ;-)

As I don't understand your objection (adding commas to the c-s), maybe I
didn't formulate what I was trying to say and so you didn't understand
me. I'll try again:

In relative mode, if I say
<{c4 f b} {c8 b a g f} {c c''}> <d f>

I expect to obtain (absolutely)

<{c'4 f'4 b'4} {c''8 b'8 a'8 g'8 f'8} {c'8 c'''8}> <d''4 f''4>

This is done fine by lily, except that the second chord (the d-s) are
interpreted as <d''8 f''8>. Their octave is taken (correctly as I deem)
from the last note in the first sequence of the previous chord, i.e.
the b just before the }. But their duration is not taken from there:
instead (I think) it is taken from the last note of the last
sequence in the previous chord, i.e. the c''.
I was objecting to this discrepancy and suggesting that the duration
of the d-s were taken from the same note as the pitch, thus
d'''8 or (greatly preferred:) d''4 .

This doesn't affect <c e g> <c e g> at all, because the first note in the
second chord is relative to the last note in the first sequence of the
previous, first chord. As this sequence consists of a single note c,
everything is fine.

Greetings, Dirk.
