Yes, I have never heard  a broadcast mention the edition of a work
(but sometimes they are on CD-sleeve notes.)

You can't have "suggestions" in a license. Either you are required to
do something, or you aren't. Suggestions are neither, so they have no
place.  Of course one can add a note after the license, suggesting to
credit mutopia. Maybe a little explanation would even help, e.g.,

       "The mutopia project could use more publicity, and you can help
       us by giving us credit when performing music from our
       editions. "
