I am working on SATB layout. I looked at the star spangled banner. Here
are some trouble I still am having...
How can I prevent the first line of music from being indented?
How can I make the stem direction follow the usual rules for SATB? These
following are the stem rules for the treble clef as I have observed in most
hymnals.
1. if S and A differ by less than a third, the stems should be up/down.
2. else if S and A have different values, the stems should be up/down.
3. else if A sings "la" or higher, both S and A stems should be down.
4. else both stems should be up
I can write a program (like in perl) to generate the stem up/down commands
correctly, but it would be nice if there was a way for lily to do it for me.
