Well, this is a problem created by Sun.
As long as there is no usable build system available for the OSS parts from
Sun Solaris, Sun forces distro creators to go their own way. This is extra bad
as it also burns valuable time of the distro creators.

This would be possible if we negotioate and agree on:
- an official location for all important components in the system.
- an official way to compile and link the components.
As Sun Solaris is closed source with respect to important OSS components,
it is obvious that OpenSolaris based distros need to go their own way here.
