Have you confirmed that it works? I know it works on my system, but I
haven't heard back from anyone who installed it.

Because, at http://www.gnucash.org/xacc/ in the "Download X-Accountant"
section, the second link ("The _source_") points to
http://www.gnucash.org/xacc/download/xacc-1.0.17.tar.gz, so that's what I
downloaded. If you can update that link or provide me a pointer to the
more recent version, I'd be happy to package it up as well.

I don't know enough about autoconf (read: I don't know anything about
autoconf) to make the change myself, but basicly when building on a
solaris 2.x / solaris 7 system using gcc, the makefiles all need to NOT
include "-I/usr/include".

If the problem was "cannot locate the server; no dns entry" or something
like that, it's because my secondary dns provider (granitecanyon.com) is
overloaded serving over 12k dns zones and is basicly very broken right
now. If it was any other kind of problem, I am not aware of it and could
you provide some more details?

Happy Hunting, -Chris
