hope this is where I report things like this..
I'm currently able to run both the gnome and motif gnucash (by
manually changing the symlink) under RH 6.0.. I installed most of the
other required packages as RPM's with the exception of a couple.. it
compiled with no problems..
I've started using it over the past two days and have noticed a couple
of minor problems.. I'm wondering if these are known or not (I've
looking through the archives for the past two months and don't seem to
find them there)..
1. I created a cash account as a temporary place for txns.. I use this
in cases where, for example, I get three checks from different sources
and then make one deposit for the sum of all three.. for some weird
reason the balance on the cash account comes up incorrect..
here's my register window ('x' denotes empty field):

from then on, all balances are off by .900.. any ideas?
2. In the register window, if yo utry to change the flag of an already
reconciled transaction you get an "are you sure" prompt... by
accident, y clicked on that twice (twichy mouse button) which brought
up two of these dialogs.. after selectin "no" to both, gnucash was
long gone..
besides that I like the program.. it seems that some things are easier
to do in the gnome version while others are easier in the motif (which
is why I keep swithing back and forth).. it's not fun to use with a
touchpad, however, but I don't think there's much out there that is..
