i'am afraid i belong to those that never compiled it at all.
my problem is with the XmHTML library.
first, configure doesn't recognize it:
gnucash-1.2.1-1.i386.rpm
installed it self in the following directories:
/usr/X11R6/lib/
/usr/X11R6/include/XmHTML/
after specifying the configure options
--with-xmhtml-includes --with-xmhtml-librairies
i discovered in the list's archive that i also had to modify the file
./src/motif/Makefile
adding the instruction -lXmHTML
well...it still doesn't wanna work.
there is the output of the make command:
