I can't answer for him, but the old mosaic could do this, as well as
mozilla. So as a first & maybe final cut, I'd suggest sticking to html
reports, and then using some built-in gnome browser thingy to convert to
ps or other.
The architecture of the generic report writing mechanism should not limit
it to html, and folsk should be able to write templates to create output
of any sort.
