okay, I have made some changes to my source tree, and sent in
patches. However, when I do a "cvs update", the file which I have
changed comes back as "M src/register/splitreg.c". Does this mean
that the change has not been commited by linas? Or is there any way
that CVS would be able to tell, since the two files would have
different timestamps due to the times that they were edited on
separate machines? I guess, since I am not getting a "U" on
CVS/Entries, there have not been any changes, right?

I want to make sure that I am getting the updates which linas has done
before I start the evening (afternoon, this five minutes)'s hack
session. Is there any way to tell if I have the most recent goods,
other than the time tested method of using cvs properly? :-) (cvs
commit, cvs update, but I cannot commit.) A cvs-commits-list would be
nice.

Linas,

If you don't know how to set that up, I can go look at the
enlightenment cvs tree and see what they have done there.
