Thank you.  And thanks to the other people that replied too.  This is
what I did and it worked.

I remembered reading about this and doing it got rid of a confusing
message that had to do wih some '#t' parameter.

Gnucash finally seems to be working.  Now I need to create my accounts
and enter my data.  Thanks again.
