Jeez, we've talked about this for years, with little tangible progress.
However, my understanding is that some of this is starting to get speced
in a generic way with both the gnome and the kde desktops, so that
desktops can be shutdown and reopened in the same state.
I don't have url's for this or know the status; anyone?
