The check printing stuff is really implemented, I swear :) It works
just fine on a Debian system with the gnome-print-0.10 or better .debs
installed.
For some reason, folks who have the RPMs installed aren't passing the
test for gnome-print in configure. I'm waiting for someone else to
answer this same question: do you have a /usr/lib/printConf.sh ?
If that file isn't there, gnome-config doesn't know you have gnome-print
installed and the configure test will fail.
I believe this has been reported as a bug in the Helix rpms; someone
correct me if that's not right.
