Why is that?  We are improving gnucash, putting it into a box, and
providing support and a printed manual.  All the development we do on
gnucash is and will be GPL.

Of course you're welcome to maintain a local fork, but I don't
understand why that would be necessary.

Are there features you need which you think won't be put into gnucash,
or do you dislike the idea of your work going into a product that
someone else sells?  If the latter, I believe that gnucash is
currently on Red Hat's contrib CDs and is very likely to be on other
Linux resellers' CDs before too long.  Is there a substantive
difference between Red Hat selling a CD set that includes gnucash
versus someone else selling a package containing just gnucash and
related documentation?

I don't mean to be argumentative; I'm just a little surprised by your
reaction and I'd like to understand it better.
