Well, here's how changing currencies is supposed to work now.
First, if there is a transfer from account A to account B,
then the engine requires that they have some currency/security
pair in common, i.e., either A's currency or security is the
same as B's currency or security (the currency in A could match
the security in B or vice-versa).
Thus, if you want to change the currency of an account A, the
currencies or securities of any accounts which have transfers
to/from A may need to be changed. Of course, if you end up having
to change the currency of account B, then you may also need to
change the currency of an account C which has a transfer to B,
but not necessarily A. Whew :) Thus, changing the currency/security
of an account can result in wide-ranging effects.
