Hello,
I have discover gnucash and I thing it's a great soft that I'll use
frequently
I have install gnucash 1.3.6 and I have found some problem or bugs :
If I have one account with 2 subaccount of 2 differents currencies, the
total is not good. It could never be good because gnucash don't know the
exchange rates
In the french version, in the column balance and total, there is the
symbol F (I suppose in the english version, it is $). That have no
sense, if you have an other currency. If you have an account in DEM, you
don't want to see 20$. I think that if you create a new account, you
should choose the currency in a drop-down list. If gnucash know all the
currencies, he can also know the symbols
I have try to transfert money between 2 accounts of different
currencies (one bank account and a currency account like it's explain in
the doc), but that does'nt work. I have an error message that say I
cannot transfert money between two accounts of differrent currencies
I have read in the doc that I can modify the properties of an account,
but there is no button or menu to do that.
2 accounts can have the same name !! Is that normal. a check should be
implemented. If it's a functionnality, how can I choose the good account
in the drop-down menu of the register
In the register, there is only one date. OK, it's the date of the order,
but the order are never executed at this day. If you make an
internationnal transaction, for exemple, the date will be different on
the 2 accounts (2 or 3 day of delay in Europe). Moreover, in Belgium,
there is an exotic system to calculate the interest. If you retrieve
money, it's count with the date of the day before, if you add money, the
date is the day after. I think it would be interessant to add a column
(optionnal) for the "value-date"

P.S. I have try to subscribe to the mailing-list, but it seem that the
adress [EMAIL PROTECTED] dosn't exist. how can I do
