I think it would require an exception clause: everyone who holds copyright
to any GPL'd gnucash code would have to agree to a license addendum saying
"this software may be linked with Berkely DB" or something similar.  I'm
certainly willing to agree to such a thing for my one tiny little patch:
in fact, I'm willing to assign it to Linas or Dave or someone.

I just casually glanced through the Sleepycat license, but it looked to me
like they would be giving up nothing by releasing under the GPL.
