Actually, Rob Browning is probably 75% finished with it already. The
text format will become the default file format soon.. it's a lot more
compact than the binary representation, believe it or not, in addition
to all the other nifty things you get from a text format.
Not to mention that the "recovering from log files" problem just
magically goes away with Rob's new scheme.
Expect to see this showing up in the 1.5 tree before too long.
