No, 2.4 is NOT part of FC1:

ls gtk2*
gtk2-2.2.4-5.1.i386.rpm
gtk2-devel-2.2.4-5.1.i386.rpm
gtk2-engines-2.2.0-3.i386.rpm

I think someone else said that FC2 has 2.6, but I haven't verified that
myself.  OTOH, FC2 hasn't been released, yet, either.  So I still think
we should focus on Gtk-2.2
