Neil,
I appreciate all the work you're doing, but nearly every commit you
make has had
the effect of breaking the build. The SOLE reason this has been happening is
because you do not build with -Werror. Therefore, I am going to ask that you
refrain from any more commits to the gnucash source tree until you fix that
problem on your distribution.
As it is, right now every time you commit code it takes David, Josh,
Christian,
or myself valuable time and effort to track down what's broken and fix
it... And then hope you pull the change into your own code and don't
break it again
on your next commit.
I realize that this may be a problem with Debian unstable, but that shouldn't
mean it has to translate into OUR problem. If Debian unstable is that broken,
then find a distribution that isn't. But breaking the gnucash build because
your broken distribtion wont let you compile with -Werror is plainly
unacceptable to the rest of us.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter. I look forward to future
commits.
-derek
