Zitat von Yawar Amin <[email protected]>:
I noticed that bug #575895 [1] talks about an incomplete guide for customising a report, in the Transactions chapter. Now we have a plan in bug #633590 [2] to just create a new chapter to handle reports. I believe this has been the intention all along of the docs team, from the note in ยง4.7.5. So with this, we would simply remove the reporting sections in various chapters and probably refer the reader to the reporting chapter for details of different reporting scenarios.

Does anyone have any input? Maybe there are other places where reporting is mentioned. Would appreciate if anyone could comment on #633590 with examples, if any.

Aside from that, what would be the correct way to handle #575895? I?m thinking as it will be made redundant by fixing #633590, to mark it as dependent on the latter, and then to just mark it as resolved? Or is there a more correct way?

I think you don't need to get into too much headache when deciding how to treat bugs which are about to get obsolete. I'd suggest to close the old one as DUPLICATE of the new one. That way, anyone reading the old one is pointed towards the new one, and the new one deals with this issue (among others) just fine.

Regards,

Christian
