I think you don't need to get into too much headache when deciding how
to treat bugs which are about to get obsolete. I'd suggest to close
the old one as DUPLICATE of the new one. That way, anyone reading the
old one is pointed towards the new one, and the new one deals with
this issue (among others) just fine.
