Excellent, thanks. Since it's not clear yet that it's the same crasher as 624465, I've opened a new bug, https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=635859, and marked it critical and for 2.4.0. Does your gnucash.trace contain anything enlightening? (A suggestion to make your life easier: When doing a debug build, turn off all optimization (-O0). Dealing with "optimized out" makes debugging much harder.)
