do you mean that you click on the "GNUCASH" icon to start GC running (is it in the dock thingie, on your desktop, in a menu somewhere? Is it the same thing as you used to click before you had the system crash?) This is what I mean about being explicit. "Gnu" and "Gnucash" mean different things to me.
remember, that I don't use a mac and am not very familiar at all with how OSX works. does "the screen with these 2 images" say anything else? can you describe the 2 images? I appreciate that it is often hard to explain clearly what is going on, and frustrating that we are not understanding exactly what you are seeing. Maf.
