For clarification, "Copy 2" is intended to be used in cases where one tax
return has 2 copies of an individual form or schedule. An example is if a
married couple files a joint return and both have 'Schedule C' activities
to report in separate Schedule C's. One individual has, for example, an
income account that points to Copy 1 of Schedule C and the other individual
has a separate income account that points to copy 2. Form 8606 also can
have more than one copy.
