Hello Geert
Re: Running GC as another person:
I installed it on my wife's computer (Win10 as mine) and ran the MYNAME.gnucash
file. It ran OK except the reports still did not show up.
I did the same on an old laptop that I have, running Vista. First, with my
current MYNAME.gnucash file, it didn't generate reports. Then I found an old
PERSO.gnucash file dating back to 2013 and with that one I did generate a
report. THEN running MYNAME.gnucash, it does generate, on that old laptop. My
problem is it would be kinda acrobatic to *print* the report from that laptop.
Thinking maybe running that old file on a computer sort of triggered something
or deleted something that maybe was in the way, I tried the same trick on my
main PC (running PERSO.gnucash before MYNAME.gnucash. It did not work.
Then I exported the report (although blank). The html file that I got did open
(with Chrome). BUT all the accounts but one show a zero balance.
So we made some progress. Do the accounts all but one being at zero tell you
something?
Thanks a lot for your attention and your time Geert.
Alain

Other things to look for:
What do you get if you export the report (even though it's blank in GnuCash) ?
Does the exported file actually contain html you can open in Chrome or Firefox
?
Are there message in the trace file [1] after you tried to open the report ?
