Matthew, One thing that is immediately obvious in your list of files is that there currently is no active data file in the dirctory you have listed. The data file would appears as
MAGS Show.gnucash in that listing. All the files you have shown are either backup or log files. MAGS Show.gnucash.20200107155657.gnucash is a backup file created on 7th January 2020 at 15:56:57 and MAGS Show.gnucash.20200107160232.gnucash is a backup file created on 7th January 2020 at 16:02:32 which appears to be the last time you successfully opened GnuCash. I would make a copy of this file and then rename the copy to MAGS Show.gnucash . You should then be able to open that file withiout any problem. The file MAGS Show.gnucash.20200107160232.log should have a record of the transactions you entered/reconciled since 16:02:32. Under the File->Import submenu you will find an entry "Replay GnuCash .log file. If you click on that entry a file selection dialog will come up. If you navigate to that last log file MAGS Show.gnucash.20200107160232.log and open the file and your reconciliation should be replayed into the register. When it has completed either use Save from the toolbar or File->Save from the menu (not File->Save As as that will rename the file with a new name and/or location). It is normally greyed out unless the data has been changed since either opening or the last save but replaying the log file should activate it. With any luck that should fix your problem. If not come back to the mailing list and tell us what happens when you try the above.
