Better yet, Frank split this off as its own topic, so please follow up

HTML is just plain text.
So open it with a text editor. You'll see the document structure below
the first <body> tag.
Headings like titles usually are bracketed with <h#></h#> tags. The one
you want is probably the <h1></h1> text as it *should* be the primary
heading of the document. (I admit, I haven't looked at an exported
report myself lately to confirm)
There are a plethora of HTML resources online if you need further
assistance. It is pretty straightforward for most cases.
If you get really stuck or lost, come back to this thread and let us know.

Brilliant! Thanks to all of you for this guidance. I never realized
before that ‘export’ will produce an html version.
However — I have not yet been able to change the title of the General
Journal, not in the Gnucash window (clicking on ‘apply’ doesn’t work),
not in the Firefox browser print settings, even though I have done it
several times. How can I change (actually, not change but add to, the
title ‘General Journal’ so that it will print on the document as
‘General Journal BE 175’? Doesn’t work in Gnucash & doesn’t work in
the browser with the print settings, etc. . . .
