Hello, Gnucash is double entry accounting. You're putting both entries for the transaction into the same account. Try reading the Guide (available at the website) to grasp the concepts, especially https://www.gnucash.org/docs/v4/C/gnucash-guide/basics-accounting1.html#basics-accountingdouble2
