Thanks for all the replies... no popup, and no indication that anything happened or is supposed to.
It is the last entry, showing today's date, maybe I should've clued into that, since I thought it was from a few days ago. Is it just my imagination then that I entered this, and it's just the normal user-interface waiting for data entry?
