This is about Dropbox, not about GnuCash. My phone autosaves pictures to DropBox and when I go to remove pictures from Dropbox, I get the same message.
It sounds scary, but what it is really asking is if you are sure you want to delete the file - it will be deleted everywhere you have dropbox installed. I used to worry that it would delete the photos from my phone, but it didn't - just from the Dropbox folders. If there is a way to turn off this "are you sure?" setting, you might want to do it to avoid the question. The file is one of the temporary files GnuCash creates and then deletes - normally you'd not see it, but because you are using a Dropbox folder, you get the message.
