Good morning -- I have just replaced a computer of long time usage. Data files have been transferred. GnuCash has been reinstalled. All the accounts appear to be intact.
Operating system: Windows 11 24H2 gnuCash version: Ver 5.9 (2024-9-28) To open the Account Register, the "GnuCash ... Guide" reads that I should "... double click the account name, right click the account name and select Open ..., or use the Open button on the toolbar. GnuCash will display the account register window." All of that does work, but ... The Account Register is not populated with all those years worth of checks and deposits, and the headers in the three right-hand columns read Expense, Rebate, and Balance, not the expected Deposit, Withdrawal, and Balance. I have three checking accounts. Two of them have no data at all, one of them has one entry, a voided check, with an incorrect "0.00" balance in the Balance column. I appreciate any advise that will guide me to restoring the operation of gnuCash to its former glory.
