Unfortunately you need to delete and re-enter.
The transaction log only stores transactions. There is no log for the business objects.
Sorry.

Hello all,

Gnucash closed without saving and I lost loads of data, particularly business related data (Bills mainly)

I selected an older version of Gnucash and then worked through importing the logfiles one at a time to bring the accounts up to date and it seems to have worked as entries are there that should be. There is some duplication but working through statements will sort that out.

The biggest issue is that the association of the bills that have been recovered with the database does not seem to have worked. When I go to one of the recovered bills and try to select “Jump to invoice” it is greyed out. When I do a search on all Bills on the account it stops at 175 even though it has recovered all the bills up to 206.

So, is there a way to re-link the recovered bills (176 to 206) with the database so that it allows me to jump to the invoice or (Arrrggghhhh!) do I need to re-enter them all and delete the non functioning recovered items?

Cheers,

Geoff Jankowski
