I don't automatically import anything because I like to verify that the bank, credit card company, etc haven't made any errors. I caught fraudulent charges on my debit card when someone in Mexico City was charging small amounts at restaurants. I don't think I would have caught those charges unless I was manually entering transactions and reconciling.
I use scheduled transactions as much as possible to automatically create entries for recurring payments (mortgage, insurance, subscriptions, cell phone, Internet, etc). Almost everything else goes on my credit cards, which send me emails for each transaction. If I'm going to be away from home for a while, I go through my emails when I get home. If I buy something with cash while I'm away, I'll take a picture of the receipt and go through my photos when I get home.
