That's a reason to subscribe to the mailing list.
If people CC when replying, you get 2 copies—one directly, one from the
list. Yes, the list is supposed to catch that and not send its own copy
in that case, but I found it rarely, if ever, works.
It is more important to reply to the *list* than to the individual
poster. (hence the message in the footer)
