Not quite related but I was seeing a repeated crash from 5.13 whenever trying to input an entry for a credit interest amount to an Asset type account. The amount was in a foreign currency than my domicilse current - so it prompted for the exchange rate (to assign the amount to the offsetting Interest Income account) - then it would just crash.
However finally thought to change the account type to "Bank" instead of "Asset" and this fixed the problem - so not really sure if the problem is really 5.13 or it was due to the use of Asset type account (Bank or Asset should function pretty much the same?). -----Original Message----- From: gnucash-user <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Gyle McCollam Sent: Thursday, 2 October 2025 2:59 AM To: Gnucash Users <[email protected]> Subject: [GNC] Gnucash Crash I'm trying to do a reconciliation, but Gnucash keeps closing. When I go to the account and select reconcile, it opens the window, then offers to do the interest, but it is already entered. I click on cancel and it goes back to the reconcile info. When I try to correct the ending balance it shuts down. I tried rebooting. But that does not help. I'm on Windows 11 24h2 and Gnucash 5.13. I have a lot of month end work, so I'm going to go back to 5.12 for now.
