Thanks, Derek, but below doesn't seem to be related to my issue under Win11. BTW: My GnuCash actually does open the file I click on - which I usually don't and let GnuCash just open the last one. Jan

ABC.gnucash could not be found" Hi, Please remember that on a Mac, GnuCash /ALWAYS/ opens the most-recent file, regardless of "what you click on". I.e., double-clicking on a file WILL NOT necessarily get GnuCash to Open that file! You ALWAYS need to File -> Open to "change" the file you're opening. Also, if you File -> Save, the new location will be the one used next time you open GnuCash. Having said that, I have no idea why there are delays in your iCloud Drive. Hope this helps, -derek On Fri, November 21, 2025 10:41 am, Jan via gnucash-user wrote: > Hi guys! > > For a few days now, I have a persistent problem with my gnucash file > that's being stored on my iCloud Drive (GunCash 4.13 on Win11; file > size is 498 KB): Instead of ABC.gnucash, ABC xx.gnucash is being > stored and "rebuilt" automatically when I manually remove the "xx" in the > filename. > I've had this before every once in a while, usually after an improper > computer shutdown, but the manual fix removing "xx" always worked.
