It doesn't necessarily have to be in another account. For example, today I was checking my Wells Fargo credit card transactions against the GC register for that account. I discovered I had accidentally recorded a Bank of America card transaction in the Wells Fargo register. I selected the split of that transaction that referenced the Wells Fargo account and changed it to Bank of America. When I hit Enter to commit the change, the transaction vanished from the Wells Fargo register and appeared in the Bank of America register.
