You cannot combine memo from QIF and OFX into one and retain both for a single transaction.
If there no overlapping transactions from two different types of import then they both will live happily together in a GNC file in their respective transactions. You can re-import QIF files again and selecting U+C to overwrite transaction from OFX imported ones in the current file or vice-versa. -----Original Message----- From: Derek Atkins <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2025 11:49 AM To: GTI .H <[email protected]> Cc: gnucash-user <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [GNC] Recover my QIF MEMOs All I can think of is reverting to a backup from before the imports and then rerunning your imports again. -derek On Thu, December 4, 2025 11:40 am, GTI .H wrote: > In GnuCash version 5.9, I imported some OFX files using U+C, and U+C > failed, overwriting my MEMOs in GnuCash that came from QIF. > > I installed GnuCash version 5.13, and apparently U+C is working again. > > I would like to recover and add my MEMOs from a QIF file that were in > my GnuCash to the MEMOs in GnuCash that came from OFX. > > Does anyone have any suggestions? > > -- > Regards > GTI > _______________________________________________ > gnucash-user mailing list > [email protected] > To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: > https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user > ----- > Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. > You can do this by using Reply-To-List or Reply-All. > -- Derek Atkins 617-623-3745 [email protected] www.ihtfp.com Computer and Internet Security Consultant _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list [email protected] To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
