+1 on the traditionalist camp. They're *my* books and I don't really trust my banks to get it right all the time. Heck, I know *I* don't get it right all the time but between me and the bank, we paint a good picture together, and most of my errors are fat fingers or failing memory that needs a little push, especially in these days of low-value card txns with no receipt! However, the original request/feature was clearly not about "reconciling tradtionally once a month", but doing a quick "informal" clearing every few days when going online. Fine if you trust your bank's world view without any equivocation. (In which case, why bother to reconcile at all?) If the new work flow needs one extra click on a "cancel" button each month, I'm over it already.
