Tom, The scheduled transactions are only evaluated by the Since Last Run 'Druid' or assistant. That, by default, runs when GnuCash opens the data file. I looked under Edit > Preferences > Scheduled Transactions and unchecked the option to 'Run when data file opened' and checked the next two options. The Since Last Run Druid can also be run manually under Actions > Scheduled Transactions > Since Last Run... Read the Help manual chapter 8.2. “Since Last Run” Assistant to learn how that works. It always evaluates the entire list but it gives the user a chance to modify the specific action for each transaction before it completes the process.
