Hi David (and Gyle),

Thanks to both of you for your help.  I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out how to postpone transactions (UI issues); but once I got past that, things worked okay.  I do have a couple questions though about the documentation.  In chapter 8.2 it says there are three columns.  The first two listed in the manual are "Transaction" and "State".  It's a minor point; but apparently "State" in the manual is now "Status" in the software (v 5.13).  No biggie; but someone should update that -- either the manual or the software.

More importantly though, the manual says there are THREE COLUMNS; but it never makes any mention of the third column -- not even what the column is named.  Based on the software, that third column is named "Value".  But when I do a Since Last Run operation, that third column is all blank for every transaction.  Do you know -- or does anyone know -- what that third "Value" column is supposed to show? Again, Ch. 8.2 in the manual makes absolutely no mention of it.

Tom,

The scheduled transactions are only evaluated by the Since Last Run 'Druid' or assistant.  That, by default, runs when GnuCash opens the data file.  I looked under Edit > Preferences > Scheduled Transactions and unchecked the option to 'Run when data file opened' and checked the next two options.  The Since Last Run Druid can also be run manually under Actions > Scheduled Transactions > Since Last Run...  Read the Help manual chapter 8.2. “Since Last Run” Assistant to learn how that works.  It always evaluates the entire list but it gives the user a chance to modify the specific action for each transaction before it completes the process.

P.S. If you are past a scheduled date or even on that date, you
can manually launch SX by "Actions/Scheduled Transaction/Since
Last Run...".  If there are transaction you don't want to run you
    can "Postpone".

    Thank You,

Subject: [GNC] How to Enter a Scheduled Transaction once the Date
    has Passed?

    Hi all,
I have a list of Scheduled Transactions with Monthly Frequency, all of
which are Enabled and configured to Remind in Advance.  But I also
    leave
the options to Create Automatically and Create in Advance unchecked.

Once the Scheduled Date for one of those transactions has passed,
    how do
I manually enter that scheduled transaction NOW on the CURRENT date
(which is after the scheduled date)?

Also, as a side note, I want to make sure that in the list of
    Scheduled
Transactions, that scheduled transaction gets updated and appears
    in the
list for the FOLLOWING month with the same day of month as the
    original
day (e.g., the 18th of every month).

    Tom
