Julie, The most pertinent information will be the Operating system type , primarily whether it is Linux, Windows or MacOSX and which version of GnuCash is installed and the source it was installed from (OS repositories, flatpak, Appimage, etc).
What version of the OS can be helpful as well but usually only where the above does not provide enough information and if needed someone will specifically ask for it. For Linux Mint the operating system data is in a file /etc/os-release in the system files. If you type cat /etc/os-release in at a terminal you can cut and paste the info about the system from the terminal into a post where needed.
